The family-sized residence occupies a blue chip waterfront property which overlooks the Great Turriell Bay in New South Wales. It comprises of a central atrium, open-plan living spaces, multiple bedrooms, recreational and outdoor living areas, with an infinity pool which overlooks the site’s natural bushland and waterfront scenery.
The dwelling and surrounding landscaping adopts a terraced profile in response to the site’s natural slope towards the bay. Glazed elements are carefully integrated along the facades as an attempt to maximise the tranquil water views. Spatial flexibility is achieved through the use of stacking and bi-fold doors which unifies indoor and outdoor living spaces for the purposes of family-living and entertainment.
In response to the surrounding natural and built fabric, the building employs a composite of timber, stone and metallic cladding finishes. Solar control and shading is enhanced through the implementation of lightweight awnings, which provide for outdoor living areas with key vantage points.
