Public | nowra art centre

The Nowra School of Arts opened in May 1892. It has been one of the focal buildings for Nowra, being a venue for Council Chambers, offices, town library, local organisations and groups, concerts, billiard competitions and boxing tournaments. This building is one of the most important spaces for public gathering and performance in Shoalhaven City.

The Nowra School of Arts project involved the restoration of original building and construction of additions for gallery, amenities and backstage facilities. It reopened in 2012 in time for the celebration of its 120 years.
